Disabled Refuge Systems
The aim of an effective Disabled Refuge system is to provides people who cannot easily use fire escapes and evacuation lifts to call for assistance from safe areas known as refuge points. A main controller is located on the ground floor so that the emergency services can communicate with the user who will use the call point at the refuge area. The system can also be interfaced with the fire alarm so that it only becomes operational when the fire alarm is activated thus eliminating nuisance use.
These systems by law now have to be fitted in all non residential new buildings over one storey high. A surveyor from protectorcomms will conduct a free site survey so that we can design a solution to meet your requirements and budget.
Our fully qualified installation teams can install and commission the Disabled Refuge solution to the relevant standards and requirements and provide the end user in the operation of the system.
All our installations come with a preventative maintenance package so that the system continues to operate efficiently and prevents future fault or failure and should it be an emergency we will provide an engineer within four hours.
