Security Contract for New Council Building

Over the past three months we’ve completed an exciting security contract with the newly refurbished Llys Cadwen development in Pontypridd. The project is led by Rhondda Cynon Taf County Borough Council.

Starting the project in September 2023 we worked to a deadline of December for completion. Working in conjunction with Amberwell Engineering Ltd we installed networked Fire Alarm Systems, Access Control, CCTV and Intruder Alarms over three floors of the refurbished building.

The development has become an eye-catching focal point of Pontypridd town centre, located on the riverfront where Taff Vale Shopping Centre once stood. Llys Cadwyn consists of three buildings comprising 10,700 sq m of offices, 2,400 sq m of community facilities and cafe space. Protectorcomms worked on the middle building, which is made up of office space and a food and drink outlet.

Steve Williams, Business Manager at Protectorcomms Ltd said, “We were really pleased to secure the contact for this fantastic project. We’ve worked on many public sector projects over the years, including contracts with various councils throughout Wales. As a trusted installer of security systems, we are well respected within the industry.”

We will continue working with RCT Council on the project through a maintenance contract. We offer maintenance and monitoring contracts tailored to customer requirements. We offer 24/7 call out and regular maintenance of the systems that we install.
